Step 6: Making the environment safe:

  • Ask Adrian: When was the last time you took your medication?
  • If there has been a lapse in medication compliance, contact Michael Houston ASAP.
  • After 15 minutes without response from Michael Houston, if you feel unsafe, or if Adrian poses a threat to himself then attempt to get to a hospital ASAP.

If possible, attempt to get to hospital via taxi.

Otherwise call for ambulance via 911:  Notify them of Manic Episode, Bipolar Disorder I, History of 4 Hospitalizations, No History of Self Harm or Violence

Medications:

  • Lamictal (Lamotrigine) 200MG Tablet - Once a Day
  • Abilify (Aripiprazole) 5MG Tablet - Once a Day
  • Proair HFA 90 MCG Inhaler - Inhale 2 Puffs By Mouth Every 4 Hours As Needed for Wheezing
